Lynnhaven Marine is now an authorized Sea Pro Boats dealer, currently the only one in Virginia. Here’s a first look at the 239 CC, a roomy, sturdy fishing boat loaded with features.

We’ve got a comparison chart that puts the Sea Pro 239 CC up against some of the best-known boats in the same class, from Tidewater to Sportsman to Key West, and the Sea Pro is demonstrably superior in almost every way. You can see it here: 239 Comparison Board.

One of the most noticeable differences is in the beam. The Sea Pro, with an overall length of 23 feet, nine inches, has a beam of 8’ 10”, which provides lots of walking space on both sides of the central helm console. That makes it easy to move from fore to aft (with, perhaps a nice fish on the line) without stumbling.

Of course, that wide beam combined with Sea Pro’s Deep V hull also provides a sturdy and dry ride in the occasional rough water.

As a company, Sea Pro is noted for adding standard equipment that goes above and beyond the competition.

Look at the bow seating configuration, for instance. For running or at anchor, there are comfortable cushions throughout the U-shaped space. Flip-up bolsters on both sides provide great head-rests for lounging in the sun. But when the fishing action gets hot, all the cushions get stowed in the below-deck locker and the seating becomes an uninterrupted casting platform. Of course, underneath all those cushions are storage spaces for stowing rods, gear and more.

On the rear transom, just in front of the Yamaha engine, is the 30-gallon live bait well–pressurized to keep your bait from sloshing around in the rolling seas. Beneath the deck is fully finished lazarette for the dual batteries and access to controls for various pumps. Keeping the batteries below deck lowers the center of gravity for the boat and allows for more storage space elsewhere on the boat.

Sea Pro engineers a unique water drainage system on its boats, utilizing a single manifold drain for live well, fish boxes and floor drains. This system requires just one hole in the hull and is much more efficient. One little noticed aspect of the drainage system is the high volume cockpit drain–it extends a full fifteen inches across the transom (as opposed to two small drains on port and starboard) which really helps keep the boat dry whether in high seas, rain or when washing the boat down.

The helm station is loaded with the latest technology, including  the SIMRAD screen, Yamaha MFD performance screen, Fusion wet sound dual speakers (mounted in the overhead fiberglass T-Top, stainless tilt-wheel. The console has a tooled-in D-rail for strength and stability and a tempered glass windscreen.

You can select from eight different hull color options and three upholstery color schemes. And we’ve paired this boat with a dependable Yamaha 300 engine that can deliver a maximum horsepower of 350.

Those are just some of the highlights of this popular and attractive model. If you’re in the market for a great mid-length fishing machine that’s also built for family fun, please call us for an appointment to take a look.
