It is officially summer time!
We are in full swing at the Boatel, and we want to make sure you are up to date on all of the happenings.
Our hours are now extended!
The Boatel is open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday
8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
This schedule goes through Labor Day Weekend!
Now that we are into our summer hours, here are some reminders to make this summer run smoothly;
Wash Rack Reservation
Wash racks are a hot commodity, and without a reservation, there could be a bit of a wait. Please visit us to reserve your rack time, or let us know when you are launching the boat what time you would like!
Fishing License
The Launch Office can issue a fishing license!If your license is expiring or if you need one for the first time, the Launch Staff can help you out. It is a quick and easy process. The license covers everyone who is fishing on your boat!
Temporary In-Water Docking
If you are going to need more than 3 forklift moves for a day, consider docking up at the long dock or the horseshoe pier. This will save a lift back to the building, and the boat is already in the water for you. The docking is temporary and first come first serve.
Referral Discount
Have you referred someone recently who has started storing at the Boatel? Please contact the Launch Office know so we can apply your referral discount to you account! (757) 481-0700
Sunscreen
We have noticed the past few years that aerosol sunscreen can leave a yellow/orange tint on the fiberglass and vinyl in your boat. It is extremely hard to get off! If possible, please try and use the lotion sunscreen option.
Night Launches
If you are going to be using the boat after hours or early in the morning, please call the night before for a night launch.
We ask that you call at least 30 minutes before we close to allow time to get the boat out.
You can also reserve a wash rack over night as well!
