A Season Worth Looking Back On

Another boating season has come and gone in Virginia Beach, and 2025 will be remembered as a year defined by time on the water, strong community connections, and a shared love for boating across the Chesapeake Bay and Lynnhaven Basin. From first-time boat owners launching with confidence to longtime customers returning for another season of memories, this year reflected what Lynnhaven Marine is all about.

As the calendar turns toward 2026, this is a moment to pause, say thank you, and look ahead to what’s next for our customers, our team, and the local boating community we’re proud to serve.

2025 Highlights on the Water

The 2025 season brought meaningful moments both on and off the water. Customers took advantage of Lynnhaven Marine’s direct access to Lynnhaven Basin for smooth deliveries, on-water demonstrations, and confident handoffs that made ownership easier from day one.

Throughout the season, boaters spent their time exploring their favorite spots across the Chesapeake Bay, enjoying family outings, fishing trips, and weekends that quickly became lasting memories. Demo opportunities and on-water experiences continued to play an important role, allowing customers to truly understand how their boats fit their lifestyle before committing.

Behind the scenes, our dealership continued to focus on consistency, efficiency, and care. From sales to service to storage, every part of the operation worked toward one goal: helping customers spend more time enjoying their boats and less time worrying about logistics.

Community, Customers, and Team Moments

At its core, 2025 was a people-first year. Memorable customer moments ranged from first launches to repeat owners upgrading their boating experience with confidence. Being able to meet customers on the water, walk through features in real conditions, and provide hands-on guidance reinforced the value of our local expertise and personal service.

One story that reflects this experience came from longtime Lynnhaven Marine customer Charlotte Bailey:

“A couple years ago, we bought our first boat and stored it at Lynnhaven Marine’s Boatel. The office staff and dockhands were patient, helpful, and supportive as we learned the ropes.

When it was time to upgrade, Rene Evans took the time to truly listen and walk us through our options without any pressure. Even after the purchase, both Rene and Lyndsay have continued to be available and supportive.

The sale may be over, but the relationship isn’t. Thank you to the entire Lynnhaven Marine team for continuing to impress.” — Charlotte Bailey

Community involvement remained central to the season. Lynnhaven Marine participated in  local events and regional boating traditions that bring Virginia Beach boaters together.

Lynnhaven Marine is a sponsor of  the Virginia Beach Holiday Boat Parade of Lights through Lynnhaven inlet at Christmas time which benefits the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. And we’re a participating sponsor of the Virginia Beach Boat Church, a weekly Sunday gathering at 10 a.m. of boating worshipers at the Narrows at First Landing State Park at 64th Street. Lynnhaven Marine is also a Gold Sponsor of the Vessel Disposal and Reuse Foundation, which removes old, abandoned and derelict boats from our waters every year, an effort celebrated every January in a fabulous Gala evening.

These moments are about more than boats. They are about relationships, shared experiences, and being part of the broader Chesapeake Bay boating culture.

The dedication of the Lynnhaven Marine team was a defining factor throughout the year. From certified technicians to sales staff and support teams, their commitment showed in long days, changing weather, and the constant push to deliver a better experience. That effort made it possible for customers to enjoy the season with confidence, knowing they had a knowledgeable local partner behind them.

Service Trends and Ownership Support in 2025

Service and maintenance continued to be a major focus throughout the year. Seasonal preparation, routine maintenance, and timely repairs helped customers make the most of the long Virginia Beach boating season. With access to a full-service department and indoor boatel storage, owners were able to plan ahead and protect their investment year-round.

Electronics installations, repairs, and system upgrades remained common as boaters looked to improve safety, navigation, and onboard comfort. Fiberglass work, repowering services, and preventative maintenance also played an important role in keeping boats running reliably throughout the season.

By combining waterfront access, trained technicians, and clear communication, Lynnhaven Marine supported customers through every phase of ownership, from spring prep to late-season wrap-up.
