“Women Making Waves” Boating Class
(Virginia Beach, VA) The morning course will teach women how to drive and dock boats in a non-competitive environment that is friendly and fun. For those who are interested in towing, launching and retrieving their boats, an afternoon session is available. The class will also cover safety and U.S. Coast Guard rules and regulations.
The four-hour course is limited to 32 women will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Based on interest in the June class, additional classes throughout the summer may be scheduled. Participants will be divided into groups of eight to ensure personalized hands-on instruction. Lynnhaven Marine will staff the training sessions with skilled instructors and provide all necessary equipment. The course covers all aspects of driving and docking your boat in the water. For those interested in towing, launching and retrieving their boats, an afternoon session will follow.
“We have more female buyers than ever before and we have found that whether purchasing for themselves or with their family, only a small minority feel comfortable taking the helm,” says Chuck Guthrie, Lynnhaven Marine owner. “This course is designed specifically with women in mind to put them at ease and provide the opportunity to practice the skills necessary to master the basics.”
